What are we doing:
Our goal is to build a gathering culture in your church family. This involves either expanding the already existing gathering culture or the formation of this new gathering culture.
Why are we doing this:
We are doing this to see more proactive gathering done by the entire church family at your church; resulting in more people present at your church to hear the gospel and become full followers of Jesus.
How are we doing it:
We are doing this through two means:
- One ½ day Training (4 hour training time):
- Focus on Biblical examples of gathering in the Bible;
- Examine the practical application of gathering in people’s lives;
- Group Coaching: The last hour of the training time is a group coaching time setting forth the next steps from the training time.
- Ongoing coaching of your key leader, your pastor, and perhaps a team of people from the church family for eleven coaching sessions after the initial training.
When are we successful:
We are successful when 30% of the church family are actively gathering people as demonstrated by the names they share for prayer effort to the entire church family. Your pastor and team oversee this effort and track it. Your pastor also is coached in the pursuit of this work.
Who should be at training?
Any you think should – the more the better. The goal is to begin to build a culture of gathering that has attendant to it the formation of a shared vocabulary. As we are able to build this vocabulary and work together to this goal of gathering we can see a culture built in the church.
It is working when testimony of gathering work is heard in your church gatherings; further evidenced by other new people in attendance in time as this culture is built. The bottom line is for more people in your church family to be in Jesus conversations with people all around them. Success is not necessarily defined by the number of people who are now coming to your church, as much as the number of people who are now engaging people in gathering conversations.
What is it going to cost me?
There is a set financial fee for the ½ day training event and the follow up eleven coaching conversations – it is a one-year relationship. Once you are interested we can talk through the financial costs involved and form a contract from which to operate. This also costs your energy and attention to help move more actively in Jesus’ mission. There are other costs, but we can talk about them together (not financial).
